Scam or legit

Recently, we were scammed out of a large amount of money from our personal savings account at an online marketplace. It was a shock to us someone could so purposely steal, hurt and prey on others. It has reminded us the devil is here in this world to kill, steal and destroy. The devil has directly stolen from us. He is a lion prowling around looking for someone to eat who is not paying attention. He is also the 2-3 lioness in the grass. We have to be on our guard all the time.

We have become more watchful now in the States. To help earn some of lost money back, we have been looking for seasonal or contract work. Again, we have to check if a company is legit before clicking apply.

It also reminds me, Claudia, of working as a cashier. We had monthly tests to teach us how people try to steal. Barcode switching, hiding merchandise, …. There were so many way people steal on an everyday bases.

Since childhood, Jeremy and I were taught not to steal. Period. No questions asked. Oh how, this world becomes more and more broken every day.

But there is HOPE.
There is always HOPE.
And it is legit.

Where does my hope come from? The Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

The Bible is the Book which is the truth. It is the only way to have hope, peace, joy and love in this world. Yes, we look forward to heaven where everything is restored to it’s intended goodness. But until then, we are going to have troubles, trials, dark valleys, heavy burdens,…

There is Hope!

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms 23:4‭-‬6

The LORD is legit and the only one to lean into daily. Because we believe, we can enter this new year with confidence that God will anoint our heads, make our cups overflow and provide our daily bread/needs. This is legit.
