A few facts about what it takes to legally drive in Namibia:
1. You must be 18 years or older to obtain a license to drive a car. At 16 you may get a license for a motorbike. I guess sweet sixteen means a new motorbike not a car :).
2. Much like America you must take a test, have your vision checked etc.
3. For foreigner’s who are staying an extended period of time like us we must acquire an international drivers license. However you can use your U.S. license if you are just coming to visit for no more than two weeks.
A simple reminder they do drive on the left side of the road.
