We had a great weekend visiting my best friend from college. We had the opportunity to speak at Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Liberty, KY. Claudia played her flute and we shared our passion for missions. Liberty is a very rural town in Kentucky and the church is located out in Casey County. After the service, we stayed and talked and talked. It was a great time connecting with new friends. After church, we were invited to lunch. The hostess was celebrating her birthday with her grandchildren from Louisville. Little did we know the grandsons were a bluegrass band and they gave us a little concert. It was such a great time to just kick back, build relationships and focusing on people rather than schedules. A great reminder of what really matters in life.
The Tuesday before we also had the opportunity to share with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at ETSU. It was great to hangout with the college students and encourage them to go and do missions.
