An Anniversary

Today, we celebrate 19 years of marriage.

Wow! How could it be 19 years already? To tell the truth our marriage has been mostly valleys with just a few mountain top experiences. God has been faithful to provide for us as we hold onto Him and each other.

This past year has been one of the most trying and testing. Yet, we hold on for God to bring light to the next step in life. We pray for the coming year to reveal a new beginning for us.

I, Claudia, just bought a sign that says Grateful, Thankful, Blessed. It hangs for now over the trash can in our kitchen. Each time I look at it, I have been trying to say in my heart something that I am grateful for, something that I am thankful for and something that has been a blessing. And then throw away a lie that Satan has been throwing my way. I have been wrestling with God about all this waiting with no answers. I have been wrestling with my depression that has returned. I have been wrestling with my thoughts now that Anastasia calls the house we live in “home”. I have been struggling. I haven’t been a happy, loving wife. Yet, Jeremy has stood beside me.

So today…

I am Grateful to be Jeremy’s wife. I am Thankful Jeremy still loves me. I am Blessed to have a godly husband whose loves me unconditionally. And I throw away the lie that Jeremy deserves someone better than me.

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mark 10:9

  2. Dear Ones,

Your honesty and transparency have brought me comfort. As I was listening to the Scriptures last night, you came to my mind. Please check out IICor.1:3-7.

    Your servant in Christ, Jack
